"Everyone" is doing it

It is easy to forget, particularly in this day and age, that we are not all alike with respect to the circumstances of birth, life, and death. Although we have come to (mostly) agree that individuals shouldn't be treated differently based on their race, gender, ethnicity, religion, disabilities, or sexual preference, it is easy to forget that there is a difference between equal and equivalent. One of the things I love about working in the technology field is that it allows so many smart and creative people to come up with solutions to problems that they aren't even responsible for.
